Hair trends in Vienna: Steinmetz-Bundy presented the new short hair looks 'Summer Haze' with fashion styling by designer Jennifer Milleder, photographed by Hilde Van Mas

Today, the Viennese hair salon 'Steinmetz-Bundy Privatsalon' presented the new trends for short hair with the 'Summer Haze' collection of styling variations for Spring/Summer 2023. Hannes Steinmetz, the artistic director of the looks, chose 'Vanilla Blonde' as the color of the season. The media release was sent with additional information about the techniques used, such as that the hairdresser prefers the foil technique to the balayage technique when coloring hair because the former allows for more precise placement. "No hair is unnecessarily stressed or lightened too much. This often happened with balayage and then always had to be darkened and corrected in a further treatment," says Hannes Steinmetz (translated from German to English). As a second step, Steinmetz recommends covering the hair with a color glaze to add shimmer and shine. The glaze lasts for about 20 washes. The short haircut needs to be trimmed after five weeks to maintain the look.
