10 December 2024 Christine Wegscheider has done it again! The Viennese hairstylist creates her looks and campaigns with a deep authenticity, drawing inspiration from the vibrant world around her. The Viennese ball-goers featured in the campaign embody the city's unique lifestyle: effortlessly blending elegance with casual comfort. In their long gowns and clever, masterfully styled hair, they exude a carefree je ne sais quoi that perfectly captures the essence of Vienna - where sophistication meets laid-back charm. Cafe Anzengruber, a meeting place for the city's cultural scene, was chosen as the location for the new campaign, which features looks for the new ball season. The café is located about 140 meters from Christine Wegscheider's hair salon on Mühlgasse in Vienna's 4th district - about a 2-minute walk. Christine Wegscheider styled the models' hair in a variety of intricate updos, sleek buns and loose, wavy styles adorned with pearls, ribbons and floral accents. The hairstylist said in the press release that the best thing about modern hairstyles is that they get more beautiful as the evening goes on, even if individual strands come loose, and you end up turning the night into day, especially if you become a night owl during an after-ball snack. Not only was the location a good choice, but the partnering fashion labels, Laskari and Marcel Ostertag, bring classic glamour and 70's/80's disco feel to ball outfits, reflecting the Viennese ball style. Vienna-based Laskari is known for its bold, feminine silhouettes. Laskari's designs often incorporate intricate detailing, dramatic draping and rich fabrics that exude sophistication and timelessness - perfect for formal occasions like balls. Berlin-based designer Marcel Ostertag is celebrated for fusing retro aesthetics with contemporary flair. Ostertag's collections often feature bold patterns, flowing fabrics and innovative tailoring, creating unique looks that stand out on the ballroom floor and beyond. The ensembles were further elevated by vintage costume jewelry curated by Katharina Husslein. These one-of-a-kind pieces added a nostalgic charm and opulence to the outfits, emphasizing the unique character of each look. The photos for the 'Ball Hairstyle Trends 2024/2025' campaign were once again taken by photographer Tarima Darim, as for the previous look release (article).
