Alexander Lepschi, Austrian Hairdresser of the Year 2019, received awards for women's and men's creations such as the collection 'Miami Vice'

At the end of last month on 28 April, the Austrian Hairdressing Awards were celebrated in Vienna. Alexander Lepschi, Executive Art Director of the in Linz (Upper Austria) based salon 'Lepschi & Lepschi', received 2019 for the second time after 2015 the 'Hairdresser of the Year' award. The salon 'Lepschi & Lepschi' was nominated six times with five collections by three stylists. Alexander Lepschi received four nominations and won in two categories with women's and men's collections (details).

The men's collection pays homage to the cult media production 'Miami Vice' and is inspired by vintage photographs. The character Sonny Crockett played in the movie by Colin Farrell, and the musicians Freddie Mercury and Bad Religion's Jay Bentley are mentioned as iconic wearers of 80s hairstyles which were re-interpreted by Alexander Lepschi for this tribute.
