Introductions into medicine from nature at the 'Wege des Heilens' (Ways of Healing) event at the Flower Gardens Hirschstetten in Vienna (8 and 9 September)
'Blumengärten Hirschstetten' ('Flower Gardens Hirschstetten', photo below) on an area of 60.000 square meters at 'Donaustadt', the 22nd district of Vienna, consisting of various thematic gardens invite on 8 and 9 September to the 'Wege des Heilens' event focusing on the combination of traditional Chinese and European healing knowledge with guided tours and lectures by professionals from the fields medicine and homeopathy, chemistry and medicinal plants, gardening and ethnobotany. The program is extended by therapeutic body workout strategies - a lecture about the Chinese medical massage therapy Tuina and the demonstration of physical exercises after the system Qigong; last mentioned unites body movement, controlled breathing and meditation.
The lectures start on both days at 14.00 at the tent at the Indian Garden (parts of the thematic garden on view at the picture right). The Indian Garden is also the meeting point for the guided tours with professionals to the herb beds of Hirschstetten; the tours start on both days at 13.00.
