Sports event tip: Walk around the steppe lake Neusiedlersee in Austria and Hungary on 24 January

The walk with the name '24 Stunden Burgenland Extrem' (24 Hours Burgenland Extreme) is a competition-free event 120 km around the steppe lake Neusiedlersee. The route under the motto 'Live Love Move' starts in Oggau in the Austrian Federal State Burgenland and goes around the lake to Hungary and back again to Oggau. The annual winter walk event was initiated in 2012 with around 60 people and counted last year already 3500 participants. Alongside to the original trail of 120 km, walkers can join shorter trails like the 'Golden Walker' or 'School of Walk' (announced are this year 2.200 pupils); both 30 km routes start in Neusiedl am See and will end in Oggau.
